Spring is Just Around the Corner!

While we've had a mild winter - its still been dreary and cold. Spring is in the air! That means warmer days, longer days and getting back outdoors! We're fortunate to be surrounded by nature - offering many things to do from just getting outside and moving around to more intense workouts.

The launch point where the Delaware River and Lehigh Rivers meet is super convenient. Its easy to park downtown and drag your kayak or canoe to the launch point. You can get out of the river at Wy Hit Tuk Park on 611. So stash a car there to drive back up! Check out our accessories to make your water adventure even better! There are so many beautiful outdoor spaces nearby. We mentioned Wy Hit Tuk Park on 611. Activities include Picnicking, hiking, biking, birdwatching, and group camping.You can also access this park from the tow path along the canal.

The tow path along the canal is perfect for bike ride, job or a simple walk. You can access the start of the trail at the Northern Terminus Delaware Canal Trail park, just off of 611. Enjoy scenic views of the Delaware River. This is a unique and fun place to visit. And easy to get too with ample parking at the access point.

And lets not forget the Karl Stirner Arts trail just off of Bushkill Drive. Walk, bike or jog along the trail and get immersed in nature. Make a day of it and walk to the Silk Mill where you can enjoy lunch, ice cream or a drink.

Check out Hackett Park just off of Hackett Ave in Easton. The Wilson and Easton Bike Path can be accessed here. In addition they have a disc golf course for some leisurely fun and exercise.

Looking to really get back to nature? The Poconos is just a quick 30 minute drive up route 33. Enjoy the views and trails at Big Pocono State Park on the top of Camelback Mountain, numerous campgrounds and trails and a must visit is the Columcille Megalith Park: Land of Mysterious Rock Monuments in the Poconos. This is a true experience with a mix of nature, paths and rock outcroppings. Other hiking trails include Shohola Falls Trail, Wallenpaupack Lake Trail, McDade Recreational Trail, Irving Cliff Trail, Lehigh Gorge Trail, Mount Minsi via Appalachian Trail.
